Cell decisions, oncogenic signalling, and early-cancer biology

We study how biochemical networks maintain cellular homeostasis, how DNA damage and oncogenic mutations disrupt those decisions, and how this knowledge can support earlier cancer detection and intervention.

Oncogenic SignallingHow oncogenic signalling triggers cancer-associated phenotypes by reprogramming signalling and metabolic networks while avoiding tumour suppressive mechanisms.Early detectionTranslation of the technologies and knowledge developed in these studies to early detection and intervention.DNA Damage ResponseCheckpoint signalling and the DNA damage response, with particular interest in heterogeneous responses among clonal cell populations.
